This community project was an initiative of the Albany Heritage Reference Group Aboriginal Corporation, and is located at the Windermere Archaeological Site, where evidence has been found of regular usage by Noongar people between 3,000 and 12,500 years ago.
Students from local primary schools participated in workshops with Minang elders and community members to create illustrations of local flora and fauna. These were incorporated into the design of six interpretive panels that inform visitors of the cultural significance of the site.
