In 2011 the existing bookshop and newsagency at 240 York Street were combined into a single entity, and Paperbark Merchants was born. dcdesign created a playful, distinctive logo and visual style, made up of a unique system of retro typewriter and dymotape fonts and halftone patterns, which has been used to brand the store and a variety of touch points, helping to make it an iconic local retail destination.
