CLIENT: H+H ARCHITECTS | INDUSTRY: CULTURAL HERITAGE INTERPRETATION | SERVICES: CONTENT DEVELOPMENT, INTERPRETIVE SIGNAGE
The Albany Waterfront Heritage Trail tells the story of the historic port city of Albany, from the Noongar people who have lived in the area for many thousands of years, through European settlement and the town's significance during two World Wars, to the present day.
dcdesign worked with an extensive archive of historic images and text to design 28 interpretive panels, that were printed onto DigiGlass then mounted onto local granite and timber salvaged from the old town jetty along the picturesque waterfront. The trail is comprised of several stations, each themed with a different colour that is matched to the powdercoated metal supports of the timber structures.
